Cebu Pacific removes fuel and insurance surcharges for domestic flights

BUDGET AIRLINE Cebu Pacific will remove fuel and insurance surcharges for all domestic flights starting today, in a bid to stimulate travel amid a slowing global economy.

Starting January 7, 2009, Cebu Pacific will remove fuel and insurance surcharges for all domestic flight bookings.

Spokesman of Cebu Pacific, Candice Iyog said, that they are committed to offer the public the most affordable fares coupled with the newest planes. They have made air travel a viable option for those who normally travel by bus or ferry. They expect to take delivery of six brand-new aircraft in 2009.

Passengers can now easily compare airfare with that of buses and ferries.

Cebu Pacific also lowered their fuel and insurance surcharges for select international routes. Manila-Bangkok and Clark-Bangkok one-way surcharges are now slashed from $80 to $50 and $80 to $60 respectively. Manila-Osaka one-way surcharges are cut from $110 to $100. Manila-Hong Kong surcharges are cut from $45 to $40 per way.
